About First Initiative Foundation & Asia One Books
My Monet includes 20 images of Monet paintings accompanied by an entertaining commentary on his life and art. Readers are accompanied down their path of learning by Oowa, one of Hong Kong most beloved modern characters. Colour Me Monet, the accompanying colouring book, meanwhile lets you try your own hand at artistic expression in classic Monet style.
FIF and Asia One Books are proud to create and support this very special book set that reflects both the beauty of Monet’s art and the uplifting value of art in life. My Monet also highlights the importance of reading and life-long learning. The initiative is in keeping with our commitment to support education and creative development for youths and for the community at large.
In cooperation with the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, copies of My Monet will be supplied to schools, libraries and young visitors to the remarkable Le French May exhibition ‘Claude Monet: A Spirit of Place’. The two-volume set will also be available for purchase at bookshops throughout Hong Kong.
